Knowledge and expertise are rapidly evolving in the medical field. Continuous training is both a professional duty for doctors and an essential requirement for practising advanced medicine.
Swiss Medical Network is involved in the continuous training of doctors by regularly hosting medical conferences and seminars attended by some of the world’s leading specialists. A dozen scientific days were held at various Group clinics in 2019. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the organisation of these events has been temporarily suspended.
Swiss Medical Network has always been actively involved in the training of young doctors. Giving students the opportunity to train for various health professions every year is viewed by the Group as an investment for the future. The clinics thus offer many training positions for assistant doctors.
An important milestone for the Group was reached in Ticino. Since the beginning of the 2020 academic year, the Sant’Anna and Ars Medica clinics have been used as teaching hospitals for medical masters students at the Università della Svizzera italiana. This is the first time in Switzerland that a faculty of medicine has collaborated with private clinics.
Some of our institutions, such as the Clinique Valère or the Swiss Visio Network, have received certification as a postgraduate training facility.

(*1968) After training and further education in business and health economics, he was head of administration at Hôpital Daler in Fribourg and administrator of a foundation for mentally and psychologically disabled people. In 2007 he became Director of the Clinique Générale in Fribourg and in 2017 he was the director of Clinique de Genolier and the Clinique de Montchoisi. Now, he is Regional Director Mittelland and a member of the General Management of Swiss Medical Network.
After obtaining a Master of Science ETH in Pharmacy in Zurich and a degree as a federally certified pharmacist, she managed a pharmacy in Zurich before moving into the pharmaceutical industry. After holding various management positions in sales and marketing, she took over as Head of Clinic Development German-speaking Switzerland at Swiss Medical Network in 2013. Later, she took on the overall management of clinic and corporate development at the two private clinics Bethanien and Lindberg. From October 2018 until the end of September 2019, she was also Deputy Director of the Privatklinik Bethanien. Since 1 October 2019, she has been Director of Privatklinik Belair in Schaffhausen. In July 2021, she also became Director of Privatklinik Lindberg and took over the regional management of Zurich/St. Gallen/Schaffhausen.
(* 1965) Fabio Rezzonico studied Business Economics at the University of Neuchâtel. After some work experience abroad, he managed the Regional Employment Office of Lugano, before moving on to manage the Logistics and Buildings Tax Office in Bellinzona and then the Cardiocentro Ticino from 2000. From September 2017 he was General Manager of the Swiss Medical Network in Ticino.
