The Réseau de l'Arc, Switzerland's first integrated healthcare organisation, has set new standards in healthcare with its innovative approach. The organisation includes the former Hôpital du Jura bernois with its sites in Moutier and Saint-Imier, several Medicentres and an extensive psychiatric network. By closely linking all actors in the healthcare system, it has been possible to ensure high-quality and cost-efficient healthcare.
The Swiss healthcare system continues to face major challenges: misplaced incentives drive unnecessary treatments and rising costs, while demographic change is altering the demand for healthcare services in both quantitative and qualitative terms. However, with the successful launch of the integrated care model, the Réseau de l'Arc has proven that these problems can be solved.
